Since November I’ve been good with my meat intake. I recalled only eating meat 3 times because there was no vegetable at a party. Unless you consider carrot cake and beer a vegetable ! Nightmare.

So what exactly have I been eating? Everything else except meat. I am also celiac therefore I have to avoid gluten excessively. Worst nightmare but I got over it!

I’ve been eating more beans, tempeh and soy product for my protein source and hey I survived! Am I vegan ? Nope I just enjoy eating sustainably to save the planet because animal agriculture is the leading cause of global warming and everything else that is destroying the world. It’s my way for repaying the Earth for what it has given me, since I can’t give back I shall stop taking as much. You might not understand why I do this but I don’t need to explain or have a word to describe the way I choose to eat but I’ve never felt better.

Do I force my other half to eat like me? Never! His food intake is his choice, when I cook I make sure that everything is wholesome and colourful.

One of my favourite food is fried rice, its says it all,  JUST FRY EVERYTHING!
You can cook trust me and you should cook.
Eating cooked food made us human, read here if you don't believe me.

Veggie Curry Quinoa

2/7/2017

Besides getting a forearm workout from all the chopping and dicing this recipe is a no brainer for those who cant cook. We can’t be just eating instant noodles all our lives can we? Cooking is a skill you develop from burning your eggs to soggy pasta and setting the temperature on Fahrenheit setting instead of Celcius. ( yes it happens )

It’s a never ending learning process and cooking for oneself is definitely fulfilling to me, as you can tell I’m a feeder. :)

Its weird I never really enchanced my food with curry flavor, but I had a taste of what my boss’s made for herself which was a simple egg and mayonnaise sandwich that’s was yellow and I asked her what’s wrong with her eggs and she said she added curry to it! GENIUS.

Clean and Lean FoodSpiration

Four weeks ago I was trying out a bikini at Seafolly and I turn around and flaunt my behind and Jesus I've never been so flabby in my life. I couldn't even flex my bum and no matter how i turn and angle my body my glutes weren't as taut as they once were. I blame myself from skipping workout and also giving excuses to eating an entire bar of chocolate at night before bed and Lululemon can't help me there with making my bum as perky as they were. I am obsessed with maintaining a certain standard of my glutes as they were once flat like a pancake.

Sam and I may look fit with a shirt on but i swear we looked better once with our shirt off. Stress, work, lack of time , discipline and bad eating choices took a turn for us but hey it happens! That how things get better when we said yes to UFIT CLEAN AND LEAN PROGRAM, Its not a diet, its just making better choices and listening to your body. Having guidance for what we can eat and can't made such a difference.

I'm so glad that Sam was in it with me,it's always better with your other half supporting your lifestyle and the likes. First week was hard but we were so focus on our health we kept going. Planning food like a clock work made a difference and I love cooking and if you give me a chicken breast i will find 10 difference way to prepare it.  Every thing requires effort, if it means a lot to you then i suggest you learn to make better choices that you can carry forward in life.

Below are some ideas of what I ate and I'm glad 4 weeks are over, Sam and I feel so much better and our relationship have improve as well because we feel happy about ourselves. :) We are constantly improving on our health, food choices and the EARTH sustainability which i will talk about soon once we have done 2 weeks of Eating Sustainability.

Chilli Con Carne

Sam said i shouldn't buy beef at supermarket because they are crap and also cost like a billion dollar, so my angmo (caucasian ) boyfriend brought me to Tekka Market for my very first time. It actually didn't not smell as bad as I imagined it to be. I've been living in Singapore since i was 7 and its probably my first time I've visited a wet market, I know I sound like a brat! I love cold storage and all their pretty packed produce in there and the aircon that feels like I'm walking in Narnia in there.

All the uncles and aunties at Tekka were friendly or maybe my shorts was tiny! If you are in Tekka you need to get your meat from JOE BUTCHERY because Sam said so and the chicken opposite it! Don't ask why.

Went through Jamie Oliver cook book and decided that I'm gonna eat beef today and make Chilli Con Carne. I probably only eat beef once in a very blue moon, never really fancied the taste.

I got tired chopping and dicing and left it to simmer while i squeeze a quick sprint session in, I've been really lazy to train. Currently my weekly routine look something like this or so..

Monday- 6 sets of 30 second sprint on the treadmill + Nike Training Leg workout
Tuesday-GYM session ( LEGS AND SHOULDER ) + Stretch ( Netball training if i have any)
Wednesday 6 sets 30 second sprint (slower than monday)  +Nike Training Abs and Legs workout ( Netball Match if i have any)
Thursday- Rest & Stretch
Friday - Gym Deadlift + Shoulder and Abs ( Netball )
Saturday -Pull ups + 5 sets of Sprints + Stretch
Sunday - Rest
I think I've found my calling in LUGE-ing, I'm not even gonna be humble I'm ace at it, I was going down hill and turning corners like I've practice all my life....

ALL ABOUT QUINOA

6/20/2016

Quinoa is in fact not technically a cereal grain at all, but is instead what we call a "pseudo-cereal".
Botanically quinoa is related to beets chard and spinach, and in fact the leaves can be eaten as well as the grains. in the restaurant world, the National Restaurant Association named quinoa as the hottest trend in side dishes in its 2010 " WHAT'S HOT"  survey of chefs.( Whole Grain Council )

DID YOU KNOW?

One-Forth cup of dry quinoa contains
*160 calories
*2.5 grams of fats
*0 grams of sodium and cholesterol
*27 grams of carbohydrates (3 gram of fibre. 0 gram of sugar)
*6 gram of protein

ALSO ITS GLUTEN FREE!!!!! since i'm celiac my options of carbs are limited.
Picture
As i was making a tomato base chicken casserole , i realised i had some quinoa in my cupboard and the Lovely People from Kiehl delivered me a gift to even out my skin. So my dinner is pretty much inspired by them,
Picture
Sam bought me a massive casserole that i literally throw everything in it and chuck it in the oven and its been a life saver when I'm so lazy to do the frying , washing and all the jazz.
Picture
With the extract of 2000 quinoa husks in each bottle, the formula is clinically demonstrated to increase surface skin cell turnover without irritation

Kiehl's scientists discovered quinoa's powerful skin exfoliating properties after they happened to see discarded husks bubbling with activity.

Excited to give this a try and would let you know how amazing is this product, I've been using their product for 7 years and i wouldn't be surprise that it would be just as amazing as the rest.
Picture
How pretty is their packaging that I would recycle it as a money box!

5 days of home cooked lunch

Cooking is hardly difficult once you have taken the time to master the basics . Getting you're chicken nice and tender and vegetable less soggy just requires some practice.

Yes i I only eat chicken and fish as a staple and I avoid red meat just because I don't fancy the taste of it and when I was little I saw a baby cow die . Say whatever you want but hey I barely eat meat for at least 15 years and I'm still pretty much healthy ! It's just my food preference and I'm sure you have yours as well. As long as you're getting enough food and all the other necessities nutritions you will be okay.

He's a couple of way to prepare you're food even if you're using similar ingredient, I think eggs are my staple, I would throw I some avocado if I do happen to have any that's ripe in my kitchen ( so annoying they either are to ripe or hard as a brick ) What carbs do I eat ?
White potato
white rice or any form of rice
quinoa
Bread once a while
wraps (I love them )

To me carbs are carbs and I'll eat it if I want to or need them , you won't get fat from eating them , you get fat from eating the cupcake and excess sugar like ice cream at night.

I haven’t been blogging , gained some healthy weight, eating food I never would have eaten in the past, had a couple of tattoos along the way, indulged in chocolates, ice cream and alcohol. Yes alcohol ! oh come on I’m human. I was broken, I recently has to made a major decision as you can see, I’m breaking out all over my face and I choose not to conceal it to remind myself that hard time exist and that I’m strong enough to keep my cool and get my shit together and better times are around the corner. Well enough about me!

3 Tip For preparing your own food! (so pretty that’s its instagram worthy and taste amazingballs)

 1)PINTEREST OR TASTESPOTTING
I spend my living daylight just staring at food photos and basically pinterest everything else, i have no life! My bestfriend can attest to that!
Picture
2)INSTRAGRAM HASTAGS  or GOOGLE
i totally get inspired looking at what people eat, some of my favourite food Instagram folks are.. I could go on and on or just follow the people i follow, they are basically food folks.
