If you care about your macro nutrition known as
  1. Protein
  2. Carbohydrate
  3. Fats

of different type of carbs that are food staple for many health junkies, this one is for you ! i have taken down all the number and tabulated into a graph for you! yes there some protein too in your carbs like how there is protein in broccoli.

The least calories: COUS COUS (Couscous seems so light but it is just a simple carb,it is indeed a pasta and has  a nutritional value similar to white pasta. Its one of the carbs that takes instantly to prepare and taste really good on its own.

the most carbohydrate: BROWN RICE and QUINOA they are about the same.

the most protein:QUINOA ( it is nothing but a POWER SEED!
protein level in quinoa is high , therefore it slows down the digestion process making us satiated longer! The protein in quinoa is similar to the protein you will find in beans, which is considered a complete protein.)
Taken from prevention.com for the health food face off gives a better breakdown in terms of micro nutrients. Keep changing what you eat therefore you wouldn't get bored, both of this choices are more superior than having wanton noodles at a hawker.

who said healthy food looks boring?

To Be honest healthy food comes in the most dull colours and the texture look so dry that you cannot make a piece of chicken breast look mouth watering like a  piece of steak, or oats looks nothing like a plate with  3 pancakes toped with ice cream glazed over a lot of honey with chocolate pouring at the peak that gets you hungry in an instant! yum

Healthy food also tend to come in oddly boring colour like orange or brown, green  and yellow but hey the only way to look good and feel good is to cut the process crap and go WHOLE FOOD.

How to make your food look appetising on social media without too much work takes a little while getting use too and also some superficial planning. here is a couple of tips to make your boring food look moderately appetising to share it!

1) Sunlight! i always make sure the sunlight hits on the photo I'm taking to make my food stand out, even a photographer like to make sure that the sun helps in bringing a better profile of the model when shooting, similar like food, the sun or good lighting ensure that the food "glows"

2)Angle. play around with it. either align your food in the middle or at the side or top view, different type of food requires different type of angles to make it more bold on its own.

3)Simple Filter tool. i use line camera since i take all of my food on my Samsung Note 3 to ensure easier upload i use basic filter if there is no sun light involve.

4)Arranging your food! yes  i know but just pilling a food on the plate vs positioning it properly accordingly, it somehow makes it more visually appertiting as well! try it if u have some free time.

5) Garnish, If you know your food is going to be only brown! like brown rice and chicken breast and brown sweet potato add some colours that give it a contrast! like red tomatoes! hey more vegetables are good for you people!

5)Go beyond the Table! don't just take photos on the dining table! bring your food outdoor, get your dog or cats involved or place it anywhere other than the table.

6) Have fun! sometimes u don't need to try so hard to relax and snap a couple of photos before you eat and trust me the less you try too hard the nicer your photos turn out.

let me share with you some of my photos on instragram.

Reason why i put some effort in my food while preparing it,is to share with my clients that hey it doesn't look so bad and they taste amazing, but the biggest reason is because i enjoy it, i find cooking therapeutic and sharing my love for food is a blessing.

below are some really pretty food photography taken! i am sure its not taken by a phone camera due to its quality! but savour the images!
